    Merry Christmas to All!

I am praying that everyone who reads this post will have a wonderful Christmas Season. May all of you receive gifts and have a marvelous holiday season reuniting with family and friends.

    Thank You Dear Lord Jesus!

During this season, please take some time to thank Jesus Christ for coming to earth as a baby and leaving this earth as our Lord and Personal Savior – our Redeemer!

    Gospels of Matthew & Luke Chapters 1 & 2

The first two Chapters of both Matthew and Luke’s Gospel provide us with everything we know about Jesus’ conception, birth and His early life. This is where we learn about His Mother Mary who appears sporadically throughout the New Testament.

    Mary and Joseph Introduced

Also in these Chapters we meet Joseph, Jesus’ step-father; after these Chapters, Joseph is not heard of again.

  • 10th Law and Prophecy

Exodus 20:17 X. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” Have You Ever Coveted? Exodus 20:17

    X. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

    Have You Ever Coveted?

Ever coveted anything belonging to someone else? The sin of coveting will lead to other sinful behaviors, such as stealing, adultery or even murder! Don’t let covetous thoughts lead you into sin.

Perfection In Thought – Word – Deed

Just in case you missed the point, God’s Law demands perfection in thought, word and deed. It will be the divine standard of Judgment. The straight-edge of God’s Law reveals how crooked we are. The Law’s function is to destroy self-righteousness and bring sinners like us to the Cross of Jesus Christ, asking Jesus into our hearts and surrendering our lives to Him. In Galatians, Paul explained the purpose of the Law in this way:

    Galatians 3:24-25

“Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.”

    The Lord Hates Sin

This Scripture verse will help you to understand how God feels about sin:

    Proverbs 6:16-19

“These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,  A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.”

Are You Like Me? A Sinner!

If you are like me, or most other people, you are now admitting to being blasphemous and adulterous, a murderer, and a lying thief who dishonors parents and God. We are sinners – each one of us. Any of these sins make us liable for God’s Judgment. What’s that you say? You think you are a good person? Jesus counseled a rich young ruler:

    Matthew 19:16-17

“Now behold, one came and said to Him, ‘Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?’ So He said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.’”

    The Truth Of God’s Word

In going through the Ten Commandments, I am trying to convince you, not just in your head, but deep in your soul, that you are a sinner and deserving of God’s Judgment. Unless you are already a ‘Born Again’ Christian, this should fill you with terror. Remember this: Prior to reading this post, you may not have thought much about nor cared much about God, His Judgment or His Commandments, but your lack of concern does not change the Truth of God’s Word: you will be held accountable for obeying or disobeying God.

    Matthew 5:17-18

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

    The Bottom Line

Here is the bottom line: Imagine you are being interviewed by the Holy, Perfect God, the Creator and Sovereign of the Universe on Judgment Day and He goes through each of His Commandments and wants to know if you obeyed or disobeyed? How do you respond? Even though He loves you, God must pronounce you guilty. To do otherwise would be to violate His Perfect Character. You are a sinner and you cannot earn your way to heaven. By the world’s standards you may be a good person, but God uses His standard. The Holy, Perfect God will Judge you. If you are relying on your goodness and behavior, you will come up short. You will not spend eternity with God. Remember, you will live forever and there are only two possibilities: Eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven or Eternity in the fires of Hell. It is your choice to make!

    Psalm 1:1-3

“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”

    Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.”

    Isaiah 59:1-2

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.”

Have You Accepted Jesus As Your Savior?

You are learning that Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God and that He sacrificed His life for you. Jesus paid the penalty for your sins. He did this to provide for you an opportunity to get right with God–to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior. Jesus wants you to surrender your life to Him and to commit the remainder of your life to Him.

    Acts 2:25-28

(The Apostle Peter, preaching a sermon to Jews in Jerusalem, quoted from King David as speaking of the Messiah and not himself) “For David says concerning Him: ‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. Salvation Is Only By Faith In Jesus Christ!

Over the last few posts, we have talked about each of The Ten Commandments and some of the Prophecies regarding Jesus, the Messiah. The Prophecies make it very clear God’s plan was carried out over a long period of time, involving many people. I encourage you to recognize the Commandments as God’s Law, requiring perfection in thought, word and deed, making it clear that Salvation is not possible by the works of the Law, but comes only by faith in Jesus Christ through the grace of God.

    Jesus’ Words

Regarding the ninth Commandment Jesus said:

    Matthew 5:33-37

“Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.  Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”

    Ever Lied?

Ever told a lie? Even a white lie? Any lie will violate this Commandment and is sinful The Bible does not rate sins nor attach an ‘evil score’ to sins, but in my opinion, lying is perhaps the most harmful of sins! Lying is pervasive. No matter what sinful behavior or evil you practice, it will almost certainly include lying. A person who lies cannot be trusted. Perhaps worst of all, a liar thinks he is getting away with something and will come to think of himself as clever, when in fact, he is destroying his creditability and reputation!

How About You? Ever Stolen Anything?

Have you ever stolen anything? Anything? Regardless of how small or how large? The Bible makes no distinction between stealing a pen from your employer or a million dollars from a bank – both are sins and worthy of judgment!

    John 10:10

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

    Keep Your Conscience Intact!

I think we could all agree that we should not steal; our conscience and that ‘God-Hole’ we have spoken of in the past will not allow us to behave in this manner unless we have managed to successfully deprogram the conscience.

    Prophecy:

Zechariah 11:12-13 – The betrayal price.

    Zechariah 11:12-13

“Then I said to them, ‘If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.’ So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me, ‘Throw it to the potter’ – that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter.”

    Matthew 26:14-16 and 27:3-5

Matthew 26:14-16 and 27:3-5 – Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him…. Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!” Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Jesus speaking about the Seventh Commandment:

    Matthew 5:24-29

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”

Love In Your Heart Will Satisfy

Jesus is judging you on the thoughts and condition of your heart. Have you sinned by lusting? Jesus had more to say about the Seventh Commandment:

    Matthew 5:31-32

“Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.”

    Holy And Natural Human Sexually!

The Bible consistently presents human sexuality as holy and natural within the context of the marital vows and just as consistently identifies all other sexual activities as condemned and sinful. The Bible expressly forbids adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, incest, prostitution, rape, sodomy and all other forms of sexual activity.

    Quote of Albert Mohler, Jr.

I feel compelled to add a portion of an article written by R. Albert Mohler, Jr. for “Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary” copyright 2003: “Sexuality is one of God’s good gifts, and the source of much human happiness. At the same time, once expressed outside its intended context of marital fidelity, it can become one of the most destructive forces in human existence.”

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

    Prophecy:

    Isaiah (700 Years B.C.) – Malachi (450 Years B.C.)

Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 3:1 – The ‘voice of one crying in the wilderness,’ a messenger, will prepare the way for the Messiah.

    Isaiah 40:3

Isaiah 40:3 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

    Malachi 3:1

Malachi 3:1 “Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me…”

    Matthew 3:1-4

    a. Matthew 3:1-4“In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!’ For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’ Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.”

    b. Approximate date of Prophecy: (Isaiah) “750-722 years B. C.” and (Malachi) “420-415 years B. C.”

    John The Baptist Prophesied

700 years before the birth of John the Baptist, he and his part in the story of our Redemption by Jesus Christ was foretold. Doesn’t that make you want to find the nearest priest or preacher and declare your repentance of sin and acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

Would You Warn A Blind Person Of Danger?

I hope you are seeing our journey through The Ten Commandments as a warning; much like if you saw a blind man walking toward a thousand-foot cliff, you would warn him. You would warn him of the danger he is in, wouldn’t you?

If you are not a born-again Christian, you are that blind man!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

We are getting close to Thanksgiving, a uniquely American Holiday and one of my favorites.

    Jesus’ Words Clarify Commandments!

Please read this entire post; Jesus drilled down on the next couple of Commandments and we (you and I) will be held accountable to know His words!

    Thomas Jefferson Quote

Thomas Jefferson put it like this: “The precepts of philosophy, and of the Hebrew code, laid hold of actions only. (Jesus) pushed His scrutinies into the heart of man, erected His tribunal in the region of his thoughts, and purified the waters at the fountain head.”

    Exodus 20:13

The Sixth Commandment: Exodus 20:13 VI. “You shall not murder.”

Go To The Source: Read The Bible.

Seems straight forward as most of us are not murderers, until you study Scripture, which reads as follows:

    Matthew 5:21-24

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool! Shall be in danger of hell fire.” Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:21-24)

Do You Have Love In Your Heart?

Jesus added the heart to the Commandments; if, in your heart, you are angry with anyone, without a cause, you are violating this Commandment. Have you ever sinned by being angry with anyone, without cause? Have you ever experienced ‘road rage’ or any uncontrollable anger without a (good) cause?

    Forgiveness

I think this is a good time to discuss ‘forgiveness.’ Jesus is very clear that our Heavenly Father expects us to be forgiving people as well as seeking forgiveness for our transgressions (trespasses):

    Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:14-15)

You Have To Decide About Jesus: Yes or No?

If you are not a born-again Christian, this verse should send a chill down your spine. Do not put this off; get yourself right with Jesus – Today would be good!

    Powerful Biblical Prophecies.

Prophecy is amazing! Just think about it: the Bible records hundreds of Messianic prophecies hundreds of years before Jesus which He fulfilled. Powerful evidence! Just think about it!

    Virgin Birth Foretold.

Isaiah 7:14 – The Messiah will be born of a virgin.

    Isaiah 7:14

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”

    Luke 1:26, 27, 30, 31

     a. Luke 1:26, 27, 30, 31“…the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary…Then the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.’ ”

Jesus’ Birth Foretold By 700 Years.

    b. Approximate date of Prophecy: “750-722 years B. C.”

    Jesus’ Gospel Is Our Salvation!

Jesus is the Messiah; our Lord and Personal Savior! Jesus is the primary reason for this Blog. We are just a bit more than a month from celebrating His birthday; He is the ‘reason for the season’ and a good time to get to know Him.

    The 5th Law and Prophecy

By The Law Is The Knowledge Of Sin

I wish you and your family the Lord’s blessing. If you are new to The Ten Commandments, I hope these posts will be a good introduction to you. God’s Law is important to you because by the Law is the knowledge of sin.

    Honor Your Father And Mother

    The Fifth Commandment:

Exodus 20:12 (12) V. “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”

    A Promise From The Lord

Right off you will notice a Promise from God as part of this Commandment: “…that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” This is the only mention of a reward if you obey any of the Ten Commandments – it must be very important to our Father in Heaven!

    Simple Unambiguous Statement

The thing that always strikes me is that there are no qualifiers attached to this Law; no ‘if’ statements (if you think your parents are good or bad parents, if you think they treated you well or badly). The Lord just simply states: “Honor your father and your mother.” A simple, unambiguous statement.

    Love Your Parents

At first glance, it might seem the Lord is ignoring the abuse and trauma some children (too many children) experience at the hands of their parents, but His message is very consistent throughout Scripture. He expects us to love all of God’s people, whether deserved or not.

    Obey God

I pray you will determine to obey the Lord our God’s Commandments! If you do and commit yourself to our Savior, Jesus Christ, you will be Blessed!

    Prophecy Is Powerful

Prophecy is very powerful. To predict something hundreds of years prior to it taking place serves to validate God’s Word and His Son, Jesus Christ!

    Micah 5:2

Micah 5:2 – The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”

    Luke 2:4-7

    a. Luke 2:4-7 – “Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brough forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

    b. Approximate date of Prophecy: “740-710 years B. C.”

    Micah’s Prophecy Ignored

Even in Jesus’ day there was an ‘Establishment,’ a ‘Swamp,’ if you will; even with Micah’s prophecy, there were no priests who went to worship the baby Jesus when He was born in Bethlehem – after they had told the Wise Men it was Bethlehem they were looking for.

    The Fourth Commandment

We continue our examination of The Ten Commandments, pausing to inspect the Fourth, which reads as follows:

    Exodus 20:8-11

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work; you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”

    Rest On the Sabbath

Rest is what the Lord commands. I am old enough to remember when businesses shut down on the Sabbath (Sunday); there were even ‘Blue Laws’ prohibiting the normal activity of buying and selling; there were of, course, exceptions, such as police, fire fighters, hospitals, gas station and some restaurants. This was to encourage church attendance and give people a chance to rest, as the Lord commanded. As all of you can attest, those days are long-gone. Remaining, however, is the Lord’s Commandment! All of us need rest!

    Love the Lord Your God

These first four commandments tell us how to behave towards God, our Creator; the next six describe how we are to treat one another. As you have read in previous posts, it all boils down to love; if we truly love God with all our heart, these four Commandments will be automatic. If we love our fellow man with the same intensity, we will treat everyone as we ourselves want to be treated. No love in our hearts will make for a tougher journey through life and hereafter!

    Messianic Prophecies Number 456

Prophecy is spread through-out the Bible and make up more than one-fourth of Scripture. Mr. Alfred Edersheim (1825-1889)  identified 456 Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 proved that these were written hundreds of years before Jesus was born and Jesus fulfilled them all. Following is an example:

Messiah a Descendant of King David

Isaiah 11:1-2 – The Messiah would be a descendant of Jesse via David.

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”

Matthew 1:1, 16“The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.” (Approximate date of Prophecy: “750-722 years B. C.”)

    Prophecy Speaks to Scripture’s Accuracy

For us, the value of prophecy is its fulfillment hundreds of years after the prophecy was first given. As in this case, the prophecy is fulfilled over 700 years after Isaiah said this. You will see this pattern repeated again and again. This leads to acknowledging the accuracy of the Bible. If predictions are made and hundreds of years later, they become true, it is going to be very difficult to argue that a book written over 1,500 years by over 40 different authors covering a period of time of thousands of years is not true.

I pray all is well with you and your family.

    The 3rd Commandment

This post is about the Third of the Ten Commandments and is as follows:

    Exodus 20:7

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”

    Do Not Blaspheme The Lord

    – Do you use God’s name as a curse word: ‘g_ddamn!’ ‘_esus _hrist!’ ‘OMG!’ ‘Oh my god!’ All this is blasphemy and God takes it very seriously. He is perfectly Holy and using His name in such a manner is very disrespectful and displeasing to the Lord. Read the second half of the Commandment: “for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” Here is a passage from Halley’s Bible Handbook, copyright 2007 and published by Zondervan, regarding the Third Commandment: “…It is surprising how many people, in their ordinary conversation, continually blaspheme the name of God and use it in such a light and trivial way. It is even more surprising how many preachers and Christians use God’s name with a facile familiarity that lacks any reverence or awe, as if they were God’s equal.” Please do not blaspheme! It is sinful!

You Are Better Than Foul Language

You do not need to use foul language; it makes you look like an ignorant person.

    Aspire To Be Holy

We are called to be Holy as He is Holy!

    Leviticus 19:2

“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy’”

Please Vote And Urge Others To Vote

This is my last post before the election on November 5th. Please get out and vote and take all your friends and family with you.

    Psalm 139:13-16

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

    Pray For The Lord’s Guidance

Just in case you have forgotten; vote with a Bible in your hand (or mind) and ask the Lord to guide you. He, through your heart and conscience, will help you.

    America’s Founders Knew The Bible

Incidentally, just in case you are wondering; most, if not all, of our Founding Fathers would expect you to vote in accordance with the Bible, God’s inerrant Word!

The Lord Alone Is The One True God!

    Last Week Recap

Welcome! Last week we talked about the First Commandment, which said ‘you shall have no other gods before Me.’ This is the Lord telling us that He alone is God and we should worship only Him. Anything that causes you to turn from God violates the First Commandment and is sinful.

    The Second Commandment

This week’s offering is The Second Commandment and reads as follows:

    Exodus 20:4-6

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image–any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”

    Do You Worship False gods?

It is true that in ancient times, when the Lord gave Moses these commandments, many people groups worshipped idols, carved images and statues. He was telling the Hebrews this false idolatry was unacceptable. The practice continues today in many cultures. In our current society we do not worship false images – or do we? How about your favorite sports team? A hobby? A movie star? A child? Maybe our false worship is not so much different than the ancients.

    God Demands Exclusive Devotion

Taken together, these two Laws tell us that God has a right to demand your exclusive devotion and loyalty and, in the second, He commands us to avoid paying lip service to the Lord while in your heart you are consumed by worldly gods!

    Isaiah 45:22-23

Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath.

    Isaiah’s Prophecy 755 B. C.

This prophecy by Isaiah will be fulfilled by Jesus’ return to earth to reign for a thousand years! Isaiah’s prophecies date from 755 B. C,

    God’s Law & Prophecy

My intention is to give you the Law of God (for our purposes, Then Ten Commandments) and to follow with prophecy. For by the law is the knowledge of sin. The prophecies were written hundreds of years before Christ was born. It is thought that you will attach Truth and significance to prophecies fulfilled hundreds of years after the were given. You can trust the Bible; the Word of God.

    Romans 3:20

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

    Salvation Through Jesus Christ

This means that following the Law, obeying the Law, will not save you. Salvation comes by accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior.

God Commands Us To Obey His Law

So, why then obey the Law? Because God tells us to, silly!!

God Will Not Give Up On Us

When we turn our backs on God and disobey, He does not give up on us, but instead, two thousand years ago sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sins, giving us the opportunity to get right with God; to become righteous!

Peace & Contentment Available Via Jesus

I cannot guarantee much, but I can promise you that if you will surrender your heart and soul to God and His Son, Jesus you will experience unimaginable peace and contentment while on this earth.

    Bless You & Your Family

You are in my prayers daily asking the Lord to Bless you and your families and to bring you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
