Are You A Discipline of Jesus Christ?
The Teachings of Jesus Christ do NOT allow much wiggle room; you are either for Jesus (a follower) or you are against Jesus (reject His Teachings). Another way of saying this would be to ask the question: In your heart, are you a discipline of Jesus Christ? A discipline of Jesus is devoted to Him and wants to always follow Him. Jesus put it like this:
Matthew 12:30
“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.”

Lukewarm Is Sickening To The Lord!
Jesus does not appreciate half-hearted, lukewarm disciples:
Revelation 3:15-17
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked – I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed, and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.”
Are You Ready For Jesus’ Return?
You know Jesus is coming back to collect His saints and destroy His enemies. Many people think that day may be close at hand (my personal opinion is that the end times signs are in place, but no one knows the mind of God), but whether tomorrow or a thousand years from now, you want to be ready. Being prepared means you are ready to answer the question the Father will likely ask: “What have you done with or about Jesus Christ?”
You Need To Get Hot!
Please see the Scripture from Revelation above; lukewarm will not get you the results you will desire!
I Did Not Know Jesus; I Knew Of Jesus!
For the first 50 years of my life I believed in Jesus, knew the history of Jesus and had been baptized as an infant, but I did not have a personal relationship with Jesus; I knew of Jesus, but did not know Jesus.
Commit Your Life To Jesus Christ!
This may sound very presumptuous: We use the word ‘believe’ a lot: ‘I believe I am late for work.’ ‘I believe I am ‘hungry.’ I believe I need a new car.’ The Greek word from which we get ‘believe’ can also be translated ‘commit.’ When you think of Jesus, please think of your ‘commitment’ to Him. (Author’s Note: The above comes from ‘Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance,’ not my knowledge of Greek).

God’s Law Requires Perfection
In a subsequent post we will talk about sin and God’s Law which requires perfection in thought, word and deed. None of us are perfect. Jesus will forgive our sins.
1 John 1:5-10
“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
